Artsicle Event featuring Emma Kivisild
October 10 from 6-9pm

Following the Moon Fest we will be kicking off October with a highlight from local artist from Renfrew Heights, Emma Kivisild who has a background in visual arts, performance, and writing. As Lizard Jones, in the lesbian art collective Kiss & Tell, her work was exhibited internationally and she performed throughout North America. Lizard also wrote a novel about living with Multiple Sclerosis — "Two Ends of Sleep". Emma's recent work, as part of the disability arts movement, has been exhibited in Vancouver. She is currently Artistic Director of Kickstart Disability Arts & Culture.
The talk for Artsicle will talk about how these two areas — queer arts and disability art — come together.
