Studio Residency Project

Renfrew Collingwood Multicultural Artist Network joined with Still Moon Arts Society, Collingwood Neighbourhood House Community Development Coordinator, and other community groups and artists are the successful applicants for the Slocan Park - Studio Residency Project, awarded by Vancouver Parks. The ambitious group will be promoting community art engagement and cultural sharing opportunities, with the help of Parks and other community supporters. The residency is a a two year commitment by the artist to provide time and assistance in community engagement through arts.  The artists are very excited to see a dream being realised, a place for artists in the neighbourhood to connect, collaborate and explore creativity and the creativity of others.  The possibilities are creating chances to explore diversity and connect the community, to learn and grow from one another.  The life and art to be created at the Field House will bring presence and ownership for the members that use the park.  The need was felt in the community to have more places to do art, as well as have a place for artists to meet and be able to identify each other. The Field house can now be a hub to explore the gifts that community members have to offer.  Please visit often and connect with its members, there is an active calendar for open community invites to art and engagement that will be taking place in your community!
